This privacy policy explains what data this app collects when installed on your Homey, why it's collected, and how it's used. This app is developed independently and distributed for free; it is not affiliated with Athom B.V. or the manufacturer of your device unless stated otherwise.
To keep the app reliable and to understand how it's actually used, the app automatically collects the following technical data when it runs:
Your IP address is sent to a third-party GeoIP lookup service solely to determine the country you're connecting from. This helps with understanding regional usage (for example, which country-specific device variants or regulations matter for the app) and with basic fraud/abuse detection. The GeoIP provider may briefly process your IP address as part of providing this lookup, subject to their own privacy policy. Only the resulting country is retained — the precise IP-to-location mapping is not stored beyond what's needed to perform the lookup.
Data is not sold, and is not used for advertising or profiling.
Telemetry data is retained only as long as reasonably useful for the purposes above, after which it is deleted or aggregated in a form that no longer identifies an individual installation.
Aside from the GeoIP lookup service described above, and any infrastructure providers used to host telemetry collection (e.g. server hosting), your data is not shared with third parties.
If you have questions about the data collected by this app, or would like data associated with your installation removed, you can reach out via the app's Homey Community Forum topic or the contact details on its App Store listing.
This policy may be updated from time to time as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
